Exercise cards and logging
A visual walkthrough of exercise cards, the options menu, set logging, and instructions.
The Training tab shows one card per exercise on your plan. Cards start collapsed so you can scan the session quickly. Expand a card when you are ready to log work or open exercise options.
1. Expand an exercise card
Tap anywhere on a collapsed card to expand it. Each card shows the prescription — sets, reps, and rest — the coaching cue underneath, and a compact progress line such as 0/3 before you start logging.
Try it
Collapsed cards show the prescription, coaching cue, and compact progress (for example 0/3). Tap to expand and log work.
Expanded card details
When expanded, the prescription and coaching cue stay at the top. Progress shows as Not started, 2/4 sets complete, or Complete — separate from the prescription. The main action for that exercise — Log set, Start timer, or Start intervals — sits below.
Try it
Expanded cards keep the prescription up top, show Not started before your first set, and surface Log set below.
2. Log a set
Tap Log set to open the logging sheet. Enter reps and optional weight, then save. The demo below shows the sheet you will see for strength work.

Log set opens a bottom sheet where you enter reps and optional weight, then save the set.

Rest between sets
After you save a set, Fyvra can start an inline rest countdown when your plan includes rest time. Skip rest anytime to move straight to the next set.
Preview
After saving a set, Fyvra counts down prescribed rest before the next set. Skip rest to continue immediately.

3. Track progress through the session
Each saved set updates the progress line on the card — for example 2/4 sets complete when expanded, or 2/4 when collapsed. When every set is logged, the status reads Complete and the card shows a completion badge.
Try it
After you log a set, progress updates — for example 1/3 sets complete when expanded, or 1/3 when collapsed.

4. Open the exercise options menu
On an expanded card, tap the Smart swap icon beside the options menu to replace this slot in your plan with AI (Pro). The ⋮ menu is for today's session: instructions, edit today's exercise, swap from the catalog for this workout only, rest timer, or delete.
Try it
Tap the ⋮ button on an expanded card to open exercise options.

5. View instructions
Choose View instructions to open a bottom sheet with form cues and numbered steps from the exercise catalog. Instructions load from the exercise name or catalog link on your plan.
If no catalog match is found, the sheet may appear empty — try Edit exercise to adjust the name or swap to a similar movement.

View instructions opens a sheet with form cues and step-by-step guidance from the exercise catalog.

Barbell Bench Press
Chest
- 1Lie flat on the bench with feet planted and eyes under the bar.
- 2Grip the bar slightly wider than shoulder width with wrists stacked over elbows.
- 3Lower the bar to mid-chest with control, keeping shoulder blades pinched.
- 4Press the bar up in a slight arc until arms are extended without locking out hard.
- 5Repeat for the prescribed reps, keeping your back and glutes on the bench.
6. Edit, swap, or remove an exercise
Smart swap (plan icon beside edit) rewrites the exercise in your saved plan with a preview before you apply. Edit changes sets, reps, rest, or notes manually. Session-only exercise swaps in the ⋮ menu do not change future weeks — use Smart swap on Pro for plan-level exercise alternatives.
Edit exercise in the ⋮ menu changes sets, reps, rest, or notes for today's session only. Swap exercise in that menu opens the catalog search for this workout (Pro). Delete exercise removes the slot from today's workout.
To change future weeks, use Smart swap beside the exercise card or Ask Fyvra on Pro.

7. Coached and PT sessions
Some training days are marked as coached or PT-led. These days show a single session card instead of individual exercises when work is tracked outside the app.
Try it
Coached or PT days use a simpler card when exercises are tracked outside the app.
PT Session
This is a PT- or coach-led session. Exercises are tracked outside the app, so there is nothing to log here.
Card types at a glance
Strength exercises show the prescription on the card — sets, reps, and rest — with Log set for optional weight. Timed cardio uses Start timer or Mark complete. Interval work uses Start intervals with work/rest rounds.
See Hyrox workouts and timers for timed and interval sessions in more detail.

When every set is logged, the card shows a completion badge.
